Paris Day 8: Walking with the Dead (and the Living) on October 1

In Paris, many museums are closed on Mondays. We took advantage of this fact by taking the day to do things that aren't museums. Early in the day, that thing was Pere Lachaise cemetery. We had to get there first, though.

Was the Greek restaurant on the rue de la Huchette? And did the staff break dishes in the street and shout "Opa!" all evening?

Glenn and I stayed in the Hotel des Argonautes in rue de la Huchette a few years ago. The Greek restaurants breaking crockery all night long kept us from sleeping well, though we had a lovely time nevertheless.

It's a lot of fun to observe your trip as it goes on. Thank you for posting so frequently.

Different place though just as appalling in its way. This one was on Rue St. Severin. The food was adequate but the hosts, well, let's just say that they were trying a little too hard to provide a party atmosphere, and they liked E a lot. Of course, she's been the primary target of male admiration this trip. I told her she would be; she didn't believe me, and I think she's still a little dismayed by the phenomenon.
