I was all set to get up this morning and review the first two films I've seen at this year's Seattle International Film Festival. I thought I might write about my next big international trip, currently in its delightful planning stages. But no. This morning, you get a rant, because I'm pissed off

I had a very similar call at 7:15 this morning. There are additional signs that do not bode well for me choosing to work with the recruiter in question, but waking me from a sound sleep is always a bad sign. (I'd overslept.)

Someone from work calling then? A little early but maybe they really need something. A friend calling? A little early but even if it's just a call to see if I want to get coffee with them, we'll be okay. Anyone with an actual emergency? Fine. "Let's discuss what my agency has to offer you!" No. Not until a civilized person could be assumed to have had their coffee and read their email.

I haven't had that, thank goodness. But I also hate the sales call right at 9 am, especially on a Saturday. I enjoy a leisurely morning myself, so hurrying over to get the phone in case it is someone I care about is really annoying when it is some stranger wanting something.
