We Go to Nottingham
Robin and Will are on their way back from Knighton Hall.

"Trust Marian to provide us with excellent information," Robin says when they are halfway to the camp.

"Yeah."

"I mean even if it is bad news, the information she gives us is still excellent."

"Yeah."

"And you have to admit that the planned assassination of one of King Richard's most trusted supporters is some pretty bad news."

"Still it's excellent information."

"That's what I'm saying." Robin kicks at a pebble, misses it. "And they will expect us to act on that information."

"They certainly will."

"They will expect us to stop the Sheriff."

"Yeah."

"We go to Nottingham," Robin says, decidedly.

"Okay."

"Okay?" asks Robin.

"Yes. We go to Nottingham."

"That simple?"

"Yeah. What did you think I would say?" asks Will.

"I don't know. You could call me an idiot. Stupid. Crazy. I don't know."

"But you didn't think I would say 'okay'?"

"No."

"But I did say it," Will says.

"Yeah."

"That doesn't mean I do not think you're an idiot or stupid or crazy." Will grins. "Here's the thing: You are Robin Hood."

"Yes?"

"You are Robin Hood, supposedly the leader of our gang. So if you say 'We go to Nottingham', we go to Nottingham."

"That simple?"

"Yeah."

"But what about the castle guards? They will be ready for any kind of attack or deception. The Sheriff, hell, even Gisborne knows we will try... something to interfere with this pompous event, because that is what we do. There are only six of us, and they are... I don't know. No one would believe us that the Sheriff is planning to murder a friend of the King during an official banquet, so we will be on our own. Six against... I don't know. And still you say we go to Nottingham, because I decide we go to Nottingham?"

"Yes," Will says.

"Oh."

"Yes."

Robin sighs. "So we go to Nottingham."

"Okay."

They walk for a few minutes in silence.

"I'm thinking--" Will grins at him and Robin goes on, slightly annoyed, "I'm thinking it wouldn't hurt if we had some idea what we will do when we are in Nottingham. I mean, before we go to Nottingham."

"It definitely wouldn't hurt."

"So if you come up with a plan, you won't hesitate to tell me?"

"No."

"Okay," Robin says, inwardly cursing excellent informants and cheeky carpenters.
