I want to go through my stuff and edit out Britishisms.

I ought to be finishing chapter 11 of the WiP, though. Seriously, if I don't complete that story, I'm going to Paypal money to someone so that they can travel to my hometown and kick me in the ladyparts.

That's a good idea if you're writing non-British characters.

I, erm, yeah - I don't mean to use Britishisms, but they tend to creep in when I'm not consciously trying to avoid them. Heck, sometimes I'm not always aware that something is a Britishism. (The American use of math/mathematics instead of 'maths' always throws me.)

The chapter just needs tweaking, hooray.

That's understandable. Cultural differences like that aren't apparent until someone else is reading them. Like how you don't have an accent until you go somewhere else.
