i have been a long term femmes fan since 91. they ARE my high school experience. so when i heard they were in town i was ecstatic. when i heard they were playing a FREE concert at the U of U i came close to screaming with excitement

Interesting coincidence: On Monday, I was inspired to hunt down my old Violent Femmes CDs and I've been listening to them ever since.

I haven't seen the li'l scamps in a few years. It's reassuring to know that they still rock. :)

That sounds like fun. I guess I would feel really old too. I loved them in HS too (and I'm older than you). It's so wierd when you see all of these bands/groups play now that we have all aged, and it's like wait--you can't age--you are an immortal! heh.
