Amazing entry. I feel like I got to know you better by reading it. I always knew you were close to your grandfather, but this was really touching. <3

Aww, thank you for reading it! I'm glad you did. I'm hoping that if I last in this competition, you'll likely get to see a lot more sides to me. :)

I read everything you write. I just neglect to comment sometimes because I have no idea what to say, or I have no eloquent way to say what I want to say. I'm always afraid I'll come off the wrong way, so I figure it's best to say nothing in those situations.

Beautiful entry. He sounds like such a wonderful person and I'm sorry you were robbed of her memories and stories.

Thank you. I truly believe she has watched me grow into the young woman that I am now and that she is with me all the time, so that makes me feel a bit better. :)

They were both very good looking. I love how you can see how much they loved each other just by looking at the photo.

It's one of my favorites. I hadn't seen it before my aunt posted it to her Facebook account, but I love it.

Your grandfather sounds really awesome. I love the portrait you painted of him over the years--real, and loved, and endearing, with rough edges. And I liked the closing of your post--the realization of the significance of not hearing those stories all these years.

Nicely done.
