Planets in alignment

Gotta love it when things just fall into place. I was thinking I was going to have to finagle money if there was even a remote chance that I could go to Burbank this year (I've only been to the NYC con a couple years ago) and my husband reminded me that his business trip in September will pay for it and to go and have fun. Whoohoo! Going to make my ( Read more... )

It's always good to have music the kids and I will both like. I'll definitely take a look at these.

A short, thoughtful post would have been good too. ;)

I'll cross my fingers for aligned planets for everyone.

Two of my favorite soundtracks are both by Mark Knopfler (and I need to get them on CD because I only have them on LP or cassette I taped from my LPs) for Local Hero and The Princess Bride. I wish the Local Hero album was 3x as long as it is.

I also love the soundtrack to Blade Runner; completely wore out my cassette of it.

My new cellphone ringtone is 'Hedwig's Theme' from the HP movies. That's about the most recent thing I have!

I also like the Cirque du Soleil soundtracks, Allegria being the one I listen to most. I love to sing along since I secretly want to be a vocalist for one of their shows. I have their first, We Reinvent the Circus, on LP as well.

Hmmmm...Blade Runner... That sounds promising. Love the movie. I'll have to go hunt that one down too. Princess Bride would probably be great for bedtime music.

Good suggestions to keep me occupied!

ooh! Blade Runner would be great background music for writing fic! I think it was Vangelis who did the soundtrack. And now I have the opening bars of the theme stuck in my head...

You'd probably really like Philip Glass, too.
