Rain rain go away

I've been hunting around for some guy named Noah...he must know what's going on. The sump pumps in my basement have been going all night. I'm glad I'm not home to listen to them and contemplate the puddle in the basement nor how it is going to remove itself before I have to do the 5 loads of laundry at the top of the basement stairs and in my ( Read more... )

I remember the sun... Take a picture if it's out for more than half a second, would you?

This weather is just depressing. National Weather Service puts up a raining icon even if it's just a 30% chance of rain. Damn them. I'm wondering when they are going to put the bird bearing the olive branch up...

It must be bad up there. Everyone I know seems to be battling depression. *hugs*

OTOH, it's so stinkin hot and humid down here that it's like stepping outside into someone's sauna/shower. And on occasion, it smells that way too. I've been hearing that this is just a short 'tease' of things to come. I hope that I melt away as nicely as I FEEL like I'm melting away when I go to the grocery store. (And btw...I have to take a COOLER just for my frozen things...cause they're thawed by the time I get home! And the store's like .5 miles away!)

So there, everyone's soggy and damp. Here everyone LOOKS like they've been out in the rain (sweat rings. Ew) and they smell bad. Ick.

Ahh...

That lovely Southern heat. Now you know how I feel all the time. I would send cool thoughts your way, but mine evaporated about a month ago. *hug* It takes quite a bit to get used to. At least you're not surrounded by a million old people in bad pastel polyester outfits, floppy hats and sandals trying to keep cool. *g*

I'm really a one temperature pony. I feel for you in the heat. I hate the heat about as much as I hate cold, snow, and extended rain. I like Fall and the days where spring is just turning to summer. YOu know, when it's room temperature outside. After that, I want to be somewhere else. I'll think cool breezes for you and send you one of those old fashioned perfume thingies that you put in your cleavage storage area. Then you can have it handy when you have to stand next to smelly people. ;)

Could you please send the rain here? I swear to god I was built for living in Oregon or Washington because this heat and freaking sunshine all the time is killing me. :P

And cool about BN finally getting it in gear. Still very weird how they disappeared like that for a while.

If only I could. Believe me, if weather control were one of my superpowers, it'd be on it's way. Instead, all I got was the ability to snark. Damn Super Market...fresh out of weather control... ;)

The whole East Coast has turned into a Pacific Northwest rainforest, I swear. I don't mind rainy days usually but its getting ridiculous. And I'm freezing--55F at the end of May in DC is crazy! ::shivers::
