LJ Best of 2008 Jdrama Meme. In the words of Gordon Ramsey. DONE.
It's almost the end of the year for us jdrama viewing people here on LJ and with that in mind i decided to do the LJ Best of 2008 Jdrama Meme! In case anyone is wondering (or even if they remember), i did something similar for last year with eventually coming out as the overall winner. Now it's the turn to find out which jdrama will be this year's winner!
Information
I've put all the jdrama info as a little reminder for people, in case they've forgotten what was on during the year, in a table. Using the table, the dramas are split up into seasons: Winter (Jan - Mar) - Spring (Apr - Jun) - Summer (Jul - Sept) - Autumn (Oct - Dec) and each season is colour co-ordinated. The dramas are then split down into TV channel viewing slots. The best example of this is the first row: This is the Fuji TV 9.00pm slot which boasted Bara no Nai Hanaya, CHANGE, Taiyou to Umi no Kyoshitsu and Innocent Love. The other rows are other major TV drama slots and are arranged that way. This doesn't really have anything to do with the voting but i just got a bit pedantic and had to have all the things sorted that way. In case you're curious i'd suggest you go check out the wiki at D-Addicts to see what the channels ans slots are so i don't have to. There are some dramas which had standalone slots and they are marked with a @ sign. Dramas marked with a # sign are dramas that started in one season and then carried on over to the next, best example being ROOKIES. Those dramas will count ONLY IN THE SEASON THEY BEGAN IN so don't try and vote for them in the season they finished in (which is a shame 'cos then ROOKIES could have won twice - maybe XD).
You might have noticed that there are only 15 options when there were actually more than that many dramas per season. Well, LJ polls only give the option of 15 answers so i've picked the top 15 dramas for each season which i think were the highly watched dramas. The others which have been missed are: [Winter] Full Swing, Kurama Tengu [Spring] Top Sales, Kansahojin, Keishicho Sosa Ikka 9 Gakari 3 [Summer] Shanghai Typhoon, Gonzo, Otome no Punch!, [Autumn] Judge II. And the biggest casualty in my pains to getting the poll the right size was Ando Natsu which was in a toss up with Cat Street (which won for personal preference) and lost. Those of you who loved it, i'm sorry but it's getting An Honourable Mention here. Also not included are Akai Ito [which i've left out because it hasn't finished yet apparently so you can't really vote for something that hasn't finished right?] and Atsuhime which is the Taiga drama and so went on all year. And i'm sure it was great. Still. No vote. Sorry.
Voting
Voting is as follows. You will be given the option to vote for your top 3 dramas for each season in no particular order with the final top 12 going into a champion vote off for the title of LJ best 2008 Jdrama and that will follow in another vote later on in the New Year. Try to pick the dramas which have continuously sustained your interest, have been thoroughly enjoyed by yourselves and had the best acting/storyline/music etc. In other words, don't pick the drama which contains your favourite actor/actress but was actually crap in the end. I want a proper vote with proper decisions please. Also, because i couldn't fit them in there's a separate poll for the er... TV Tokyo dramas. You know the ones. They're the late night ones that sometimes provide sex and stuff. Usually stuff.
If for a season you only have one or two dramas which you enjoyed then just vote for them. I don't think it's fair to pick dramas you either didn't like or watch. But then, that's up to you.
You might think the voting system isn't that great or there might some other way it could be done. If that's the case, then i suggest you do it yourself. I might sound a bit bullish but i've taken a lot of time to do this and i don't wanna have to go through people saying 'Why is this drama missing?!' etc etc. Thanks.

And in case people are wondering, HERE ARE THE RESULTS OF THE FINAL 10 JDRAMAS VOTED FOR AND THE ULTIMATE BEST OF JDRAMA 2007 WINNER. (I did a vote similar to the one above and took the best 10 for the final vote if you're wondering.)
