The first piece of advice I was ever given was something like, Once you find your voice... Great. But then I had to ask What is voice? I think your post helped straighten that out quite a bit.

Youe post also helps explain why each my characters speaks in a different rhythm, a varying pattern.

But, honestly, I'm still trying to learn about my own voice; I think it's too soon to try meshing another's. Am I wrong? Good thing I love to read, huh?
