Well, I'm pretty new to the novel process -- I've only written 3 (2 in serious states of disrepair and 1 just finished, and NONE of them sold) -- but I'd like to express my feelings at this early stage on the primary challenges I faced since I believe these problems are common to most other writers ( Read more... )

In the process of rewriting my second novel now.
It's very tedius, and annoying, because it feels like I'm going backwards.

You rewriting from scratch, or something close? That's what kills me. I talk about rewriting a lot in my new post (just out).

Rewriting from my original draft - removing a bunch of extra stuff that was gumming up the plot.
AKA: Killing Darlings.
