Late Night Meetings
60 - Drink
Lindsey/Lenore

“Mister McDonald? Your evening appointment has arrived.” Jennifer smiled at him, holding the door open as a woman walked past her, her long dark hair flowing behind her as if there was a breeze in the room.

“Lindsey,” She almost purred, smiling as she walked right over to his makeshift bar, pouring herself a glass of whiskey. “What have I said to you last time about your lacking bar?” Lenore turned her head and glared at Lindsey, waiting for him to respond.

“Blame Lilah.”

She laughed. “Lilah doesn’t seem to be the cherry type to me Mr. McDonald.” She smirked and brought her glass over to her ‘usual’ seat. “Ms. Morgan hasn’t had a cherry - of any type - for a long time.”

Lindsey couldn’t help but laugh as he shuffled papers around his desk; things were becoming a bit more tangled since Angel came back from his disappearing act and started pushing in on Lindsey’s part of LA.

After years of fighting - for and against - Wolfram and Hart, even running away from them, Lindsey McDonald finally got what he deserved. It all boiled down to the power that flowed in his veins and the nice gold plate that sat on his desk.

Lindsey McDonald - CEO

Unfortunately things weren’t as cut and dry as he wanted them to be; he still had rules to follow and that gel-brained vampire to worry about. Senior Partners, big plans…different year, same game. Lindsey wasn’t allowed to destroy him - unless it was in his dreams - his only option was every attempt at making Angel miserable.

“You’re off in your own world. If you’d like I can come back at another time; perhaps you’d prefer a daytime appointment?” Lenore pointedly looked at him over the edge of her glass, wondering what was so important that his eyes couldn’t be focused on her - or the too short skirt she was wearing.

Setting his papers aside Lindsey leaned back in his chair and looked over at the dark haired woman sitting across from him. “Forgive me, I’ve been dealing…”

“With Angel.” She finished, rolling her eyes as he nodded. “I’m tired of having to worry about that insipid vampire and his friends coming after me. No, I have no soul and I don’t give a fuck about that. It doesn’t make you a good person. It just makes you ‘right’ for social standards.” She smirks and crosses her legs, leaning back in the soft leather chair. “I’m above that.”

With a body like that, who was Lindsey to argue?

“I think that’s what makes him hate you and what you do; you’re doing something he could never do as Angelus.” Lenore cocked her brow at that comment, waiting for him to continue. “I don’t need to bore you with the details, you’ve been in LA long enough to know about Angel and his friends.”

Lenore nodded and took another sip of her drink, setting it down on the edge of Lindsey’s desk before leaning back to put her heeled boots up on the smooth oak wood of the desktop. “When is he going to realize that I’m attempting to keep under the radar here?”

Pulling his eyes away from the soft curve of her calf Lindsey looked up at her. “To be honest, Lenore, I’m not so sure why you’re trying to live off of cattle blood. You yourself said it was vile tasting, so why do it?” He shot her a vipers smile. “You do have higher up connections to take care of anything you need.”

“Sweet, but I have been trying to see all this as the brighter side of death.” Lindsey cocked his brow and gave her a questioning look. “It keeps us under the gun and it gives slayers and fucked in the head vampires less of a reason to come after us. It’s more along the lines of if there is so much worse out there then we won’t count enough to come after us.”

He nodded. “The lesser of the evils.” She smiled. “But you’re not less are you Lenore, you and your kind? A different breed of vampires; something beautiful and ancient. You’re something the order of Aurelius could never hope to be; you’re more than that. We both know it.” Running his fingers through his medium length hair, Lindsey got up from his desk, walking around to the same side of his desk Lenore was on, leaning against the desk at her feet. “Give up the cattle blood; it’s vile and a woman of your stature deserves much more than that.” His eyes met with hers, the look in her eyes serious and deadly; Lindsey returned the look, harder and unwavering.

With slow seductive movements Lindsey rested his hand on her leather covered ankle and started to slowly move his hand up her calf, his fingers gently rubbing the soft skin on the back of her knee. “Being a vampire is all about temptation, give into it. Let me show you.”

Lenore blinked at him, gazing up at him with half lidded eyes as the warmth of his fingers traveled up her thighs. “Show me, or fuck me Lindsey?” He did love a woman that was direct to the point; that was the attraction to Darla after all.

“The fucking would be a bonus darlin’; if that was my first intention. Right now I just want to let the vicious woman I see in your eyes out.”

She tipped her head to the side, her long hair flowing over her shoulder. “You’ve got my attention Mr. CEO…”
