Chapter 2 -x-
"Well Hankyung hyung said that he was going to stay back and practice more on his dancing. I’m not sure about Eunhyuk though." said Kyuhyun.
"Oh, Eunhyuk just sent me a sms. He said he’s staying behind with Hankyung. He said to go ahead and have fun without him." said Kibum.
"Alright, he’ll be fine as long as Hankyung’s with him. Okay everybody, let’s go."
Everyone piles into the van and heads on out of the parking lot.
- Upstairs in the dance studio -
Hankyung is dancing to a traditional Chinese melody with his eyes closed, just feeling the music. Eunhyuk sat on the floor beside the stereo. Just watching. It seemed like hours had passed but in reality only 30 minutes. Eunhyuk was simply watching, not thinking about his problems. Thinking about them would only cause him to break down and now wouldn’t be the right time. If he cries in front of Hankyung, questions will be asked, and answers he doesn’t want to give.
Opening his eyes, Hankyung stopped his movement and took a deep breath. Looking in the mirror he was surprised to see Eunhyuk sitting on the floor staring at him but the boy didn’t seem to notice that Hankyung had stopped dancing. It was as if he was looking at him but also past him. Walking over to the boy on the floor, turning off the stereo and taking a seat beside him on the floor, Hankyung just waited.
Seconds, minutes passed by. Time seemed to be at a standstill. The dance studio was no exception. No sound could be heard in the enclosed room. No sound from the outside world. All connections seemed to be cut off. Only the steady breathing of the recipients in the room was clear.
Suddenly Eunhyuk seemed to snap out of his spell. Hankyung wasn’t dancing anymore. He wasn’t moving to the music. The music.
The music wasn’t playing either. Looking into the mirror in front of him, he realized that Hankyung was sitting beside him, legs crossed, looking back at him with that sharp gaze that made Eunhyuk want to run for his life. To hide. To just disappear.
Turning to look at Hankyung beside him, he didn’t know what to say. Hankyung sensing this beat him to it.
"Why are you here and not with the others out having fun?"
"What about you hyung? Why are you here alone practicing?"
"I’m not alone. You’re here with me."
"But if I wasn’t then you’d be alone."
"I’m here to practice on my dancing in a dance studio. What else is there for me to do in a dance studio besides dance?" asked Hankyung, one eyebrow rose in curiosity. "Are you feeling okay Eunhyuk?"
"Why does everyone keep asking me that? I’M FINE." snapped Eunhyuk.
"Alright." said the Chinese man in slow Korean.
Realizing his mistake, Eunhyuk quickly apologized. "I’m sorry hyung. It’s just that I’m really sick of everyone asking me that stupid question. I’m perfectly fine. Life couldn’t get better~ haha."
Eunhyuk didn’t fool Hankyung but he didn’t want to pressure the boy into telling him what’s wrong until he was ready to tell him on his own. The silence was deafening. For Eunhyuk to sit still and not say a word was abnormal. Looking at the boy beside him, Hankyung noticed that said boy wouldn’t meet his gaze. No. He couldn’t look him in the eye.
"Eunhyuk. Look at me."
"Why?"
"Because you can’t can you?"
"No…"
"Then look at me."
"I don’t want to…"
"Why not? I haven’t done anything menacing or anything to you in general."
"Your eyes…" mumbled Eunhyuk.
"What?? My what??" asked Hankyung.
Even though they were the only two in the studio, with no sound from the outside being heard, Hankyung still couldn’t hear Eunhyuk’s reply. His reply was just that quiet.
Taking a deep breath, and turning to look at Hankyung right in the eye, Eunhyuk said "I can’t look at you properly! It’s your eyes! They make me want to tell you everything, ok! And there are things I’d rather not say."
"You mean like your relationship between you and Sungmin? Or should I say ex-boyfriend?"
"What are you talking about?"
"Oh? So you guys didn’t go out? You didn’t get cheated on? You didn’t fight? You didn’t break up?"
"No, we di-"

I couldn't remember
They took away my love so weak
It's raining on my heart
My stupid broken heart
Baby please, don't go
No light, no sound
A waterless world would come to a halt
so I face the suffering without a way to escape~
"Hello?" asked Eunhyuk, answering his phone without looking at the screen to see whom the caller is.
"Eunhyuk, I-" Before the other person on the line could finish, Eunhyuk hung up and ran out of the dance studio.
"Eunhyuk!" Hankyung called running after the boy.
Reaching the lift, Eunhyuk hastily pressed the button for the elevator numerous times. After pushing the button non-stop for a minute, Eunhyuk gave up waiting and ran for the stairs. Hankyung saw the younger boy’s back and ran after him down the stairs.
"Eunhyuk! Slow down! You’re going to fall down the stairs!" yelled Hankyung just a couple steps behind Eunhyuk.

Baby plea-
"Stupid phone." called out Eunhyuk, chucking his phone down at the wall, still running down the stairs.
But he missed a step and tripped.
"EUNHYUK!" Hankyung called out, one hand grabbing onto his waist, the other holding onto his head and hugging him close. Because both his hands were occupied at the moment, they fell down 2 flights of stairs.
In pain but still in one piece, Hankyung opened his eyes and look around. There was no blood on the floors or walls which was good sign that they didn’t bleed or anything. Looking at the boy in his arms, Hankyung froze. Eunhyuk had his eyes closed. His body was loose and heavy. For a second, Hankyung thought Eunhyuk was dead until he saw his chest rise and fall rhythmically. Letting out a sigh of relief, Hankyung slowly sat up with Eunhyuk in his arms, resting against the corner, trying to get as far away from the stairs as possible.
"Eunhyuk?" Hankyung called out.
Getting no response, Hankyung turned Eunhyuk’s body sideways to his right, his legs spread out in front of him. One hand still at Eunhyuk’s waist, holding onto him, Hankyung gently lifted Eunhyuk’s head up to lean against his torso. Eunhyuk’s head rolled back, eyes still closed. Still getting no response from the boy, Hankyung lightly tapped Eunhyuk’s cheek, calling his name again and again.
After calling his name, tapping his cheek, shaking his shoulders, opening his eyelids, yelling into his ears, and trying all sorts of other ideas to get Eunhyuk to wake up, the boy just didn’t. Hankyung panicked. He did the only think he knew to do in a situation like this. Call Leeteuk.
"Dammit, pick up already." Hankyung cursed because the leader wasn’t answering his phone. On the 2nd ring, Hankyung was ready to just end the call and call 911 for help.
"Hello?"
"LEETEUK!"
Recognizing that accent anywhere, Leeteuk softly spoke into the phone. "Hannie, calm down. You don’t need to shout. What’s wrong?"
"Eunhyuk, hee…hhhee…"
Realizing just how scared and worried Hankyung’s voice was, Leeteuk had a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach.
"Hannie, breathe. Is he okay? Is he hurt?"
"No, he’s not hurt. He’s just unconscious. I tried to wake him up but nothing worked."
"Okay, what happened exactly?"
"I dunno. He suddenly got a call then he hung up without saying anything. He ran out of the dance studio towards the lift then tired of waiting for it I guess he ran down the stairs. His phone rang again but this time he threw his phone at the wall but missed a step and fell. I caught on to him but we both fell. We’re both okay. Nothing broken. He just won’t wake up."
"Okay, here’s what you’re going to do. Fir-"
"What if he doesn’t wake up? What then? It’s all my fault! If only I had stopped him in time from running out then he wouldn’t have fell and he wouldn’t be unconscious. He’d be okay no-"
"HANGENG! LISTEN TO ME! This is not your fault! It’s no one’s fault. You listening to me? It’s not your fault."
"But-"
"No buts! Now here’s what you’re going to do. You’re going to call for a cab, get in it with Eunhyuk, go to the hospital and check in. Got it?"
"Okay."
"And the others and I will meet you there. Okay?" Leeteuk said in a softer tone.
"Okay Teukie."
"It’s okay Hannie. We’ll meet you there."
Doing what Leeteuk told him to, Hankyung called for a cab, picked up Eunhyuk’s phone, slipped it into his pocket and carried Eunhyuk bridal style back to the lift to wait for the cab.
