Dead Fish

Today, brothers and sisters, is a sad day. A day when tears will run down our faces and our hearts will be so heavy with grief that we will be emotionally crippled to the point that we might as well be actually crippled (but cute crippled, like Tiny Tim, not scary crippled like that guy that hangs out at the 101 freeway entrance ( Read more... )

Two years old is pretty damn old for a betta fish! Ours, Jewel, died when we'd had him (her?) about 5 months. Our surviving goldfish (aka Lucky Tom) has been with us about 10 months; we got him about a month after Jewel died.

I'm sorry about Ishmael. RIP.

lol, it was either that or ahab. But at least this way he got to be ishy the fishy.

The pet store guy said they live about 1 - 1 1/2 years, so I guess he had a good run. ON TO ISHMAEL II!

My condolences. Booze helps with the grief. Too bad noone told me this when I was 9 and our dog Sedef died.

what a gross withholding of info! And to think, at 9 it wouldn't have taken much hooch at all to really get you plastered! What a wasted opportunity. sigh.
