Having seen the violence inherent in the systerm, I've written a prompt-fill in aid of the cause. Gargoyles, unite! Down with Mortifex!

Setting: Season 5/6 hiatus
Rating: PG13/R (for swearing)
For the prompt: Enter Macbeth
530 words

Yay! And I see you fall down on the 'Spike did have a hand in Dawn's shoplifting' side of the argument. :)

Not at all. I just use it in fic when it seems to fit. I'd take the opposite POV when that fits.

I suppose if I take any POV it's somewhere in the middle - that she started shoplifting on her own and he taught her how to do it without getting caught, because in his warped worldview that was probably what he thought was best.

I'm usually somewhere in the middle. ;)

because people nowadays think they can keep their kids in line without physical violence, and he has to grit his teeth and play along if he wants to keep seeing her, no matter how daft an idea it is).

*snicker* Ah, that bit was funny, but the rest was just raw and ouchie. Very good

Nice! A bit of Shakespearean probability. Tempts the fates!

Lovely bit of bitterness here. The juxtaposition of Spike's all-round nastiness and classical education means he has a fantastic vocabulary for his (understandable at this point) self-pity and nihilism.

As always, spot-on characterisation - you make it look easy. I'm sure it isn't ...

Thank you. It's not easy, no, even though I've been doing it a while now. ;)
