This is for the prompt Suddenly the Oldest in the Nightclub, and is set in a London-based post-series universe where Dawn is either living with Buffy and Spike or just visiting. There's not much more to the set-up than that! It's meant to be a comedy, although it might need a warning for hipsters.

Ooh lovely! Getting old is no fun.

>>she didn’t understand what was so great about glasses with plastic lenses in

Yeah, I'm with Buffy. Why???????? When I had to wear glasses as a teenager, I couldn't wait to ditch them (mind you, that really was the eighties and the choices were all naff).

Thanks! Poor Buffy has a lot of getting older to look forward to these days...

I'm in two minds about the vanity glasses... On the one hand, I like it because it means there are a lot of nice frames on offer for real glasses. On the other hand, they're so obviously fake! Who wants fake things???

Don't we all.

People who shop at Bovingdon Market?

I had a fake Gucci watch from Thailand once (it was about 20p!), perhaps I shouldn't throw stones.

You're such a hipster, Bogs. :P Although there are a few of us starting to eye up the return of jelly shoes, so maybe we are all hipsters when it comes down to it.

Clearly the sequel to this is Buffy flexing her pension with a Selfridges personal shopper... Though I don't know if anyone would read that but me.

They're so cute! With the aging, and fashion bafflement. I highly approve.

Thank you! Poor Buffy doesn't know what to do with half this random stuff.

Love this! I have a hipster daughter. She even lives in the place where hipster began. Silverlake in Hollywood. She has the hair, the clothes, the musical taste, the insane glasses although hers are real, but she is mortally offended if I call her a hipster.

Thanks! And hee - I imagine there are a few places which would lay claim to being the birthplace of hipsterism (although all of them would naturally be offended if you called them that!). I have a lot of hipsterish traits, but like most people think that the actual culture is definitely that other lot over there. ;)

OMG! Silverlake!

Sorry, I'm having flashbacks to my friend's absolutely horrid basement apartment right next to a school there...

I miss Hollywood so much!
