I am breathing in.

The summer of 2007 has brought renewed energy into my life, for several reasons.

For starters, I finally found a rheumatologist who is a fibromyalgia specialist.  He put me on a different medication.  Yes, I was skeptical at first, but my pain level has decreased by a good 75%.  Seriously people.  Dr. Burnstein can walk on water too.  I'm pretty ( Read more... )

Re: the embarrassing boob thing -

I was an activities director for a short time at an assisted living place. One of my favorite residents, Estella, was in the group of people I was taking to the Chinese restaurant one day, and as we were eating she started smiling and said to me (well, about shouted - you know how they sound when they can't hear very well) - "that lady over there is so fat! Can you see that fat lady over there?" I think she even pointed.

You know, I've strongly suspected that the kid thing gets better the bigger they get...though you'd never know it judging by most people's comments. I brought my 33-day-old daughter to the salon with me today, and a lady there said "Enjoy it while it lasts" in reference to her age. Don't get me wrong, the newborn thing is cute and special and all, but, as my mom said to me when I told her what the lady said, "You couldn't live like this forever!"

People that insist on pining for the infancy of their children creep the hell out of me.

I feel the same way. Why would anyone want a baby forever??? All they do is lay there anyway, and they are so much work! Parenting definitely gets better with age.

Agreed! Like at age 18, when the little monsters go away to college. :)
