Finding the right key

It's taken me three solid months of separation to fully grasp the situation that is now my life.  And, damn!  When I finally had that light bulb moment sometime this morning, yeah.  It definitely wasn't exactly what I thought it was going to be.

I spent the better part of this morning in meditation, trying to come to peace with some huge decisions ( Read more... )

Hold the phone. What??? I completely missed some important information. Oh sweetie. I know this stuff is rough it must be really hard when there's a house involved.

Hahahahaha! For some reason this comment struck my funny bone. I'm not laughing at you, I'm laughing WITH you. (You're laughing, right?) Must be rough when there's material items involved. Hahaha! All of a sudden that just made me realize that yeah, it's just a structure. The important things are the people.

Well, house != home. Depends on what you make of it.

When my ex-wife and I split up, it was her parents' home. And they were her children. So I pretty much only had a car, and clothes and books. Losing my "home" was the huge blow. Well, it all sucked. I dunno. I'm glad you found it funny.

Yeah, I get what you meant, it was just the wording that made me laugh. Of course you're right, and losing my home would indeed blow donkey balls, which is why I'm stressed about it.

Adi, don'tcha just wish that huge important decisions would just automatically choose the very best thing....all by themselves!!

I hate that you are going thru so much axiety right now, I know that feeling to a certain degree and quite frankly it sucks! But I am going to tell you the very same thing you told me one time I was going thru something hard....just keep telling yourself that you will NOT let this beat you and you WILL work thru it, cause you are strong and NOTHING will keep you down!!! You have worked thru other things and this is just one more to beat the crap out of.
Thinking of you lots!
You WILL power thru!!!!

Thank you for your words of support, Christine. I try to tell myself that one day this will all be a memory of a time that I overcame. After all, if I'm related to Grandma, I DEFINITELY have some strong blood in me!!!! (And also maybe Rheumatoid Arthritis, but at least she was strong!!!!)

That is a great piece of advice, and I am adding it to my daily list of mantras. Thank you.

You are very welcome. I remember seeing the quote on a refrigerator magnet at a friend's house right after my dad died, and it was exactly the thing I needed to see at the time. It is a quote from Winston Churchill.
