It was early morning on the day after Americans celebrated Thanksgiving. Harry Potter was four years old and he knew that this was a very important day. It was the day that his dad waged war on yanks who tried to steal the items he had been stalking since he first spotted the advertisements a few days earlier. They called it Black Friday, but Harry wasn't sure why. He assumed it was named after Andromeda and Sirius Black considering they swore they were the reigning queen and king of the yearly event.

"Why do they call it Black Friday, Uncle Remus?" He asked, as Remus cleared the breakfast table. He always took a long weekend so that he could stay with Harry while Sirius was shopping with his favorite cousin.

"Well, Harry, the truth is, it's a very tragic day," Remus said in a serious tone, but Harry grinned as he spotted the devious twinkle in his uncle's eyes. "Those poor American shoppers are forced to contend with the devious and spiteful tactics of your dad and aunt Andi. They have no magic to protect them."

Harry's green eyes went a bit wide as he envisioned those helpless shoppers who had no magic to help them. It didn't seem like a very fair sport then. Why was his father so proud of it? He'd have to remember to ask sometime later in the weekend.

"What would you like to do today?" Remus asked, as he looked out the window to where it was raining outside. They were currently in the Cayman islands, but instead of the usual sunny skies there was a storm. Harry wasn't worried though. He heard his dad and uncle talking, and if it didn't clear up by the next day they would portkey to Hawaii. "It's a bit wet to go outside."

"I have new cars. Want to play with me?" Harry asked, as he stood up and took his uncle's hand, leading him out of the kitchen before he actually said he wished to play with him. They stopped in Harry's room where Harry promptly flopped down and took out the box of new cars that he had received as a gift from his aunt Andi. She liked to send him presents.

"You can have this one," He said as he placed the motorbike in his uncle's hand. It was a miniature replica of his dad's bike. Harry handed Remus a red sports car too before settling on his stomach with a black car and a blue truck. He swung his legs back and forth as he moved the cars around making his usual car sound, "Vroom vroom."

"I'm surprised they are enchanted," Remus said as he settled on the floor next to his nephew and mimicked the vrooming with the cars.

"They were, but I asked Dad to take the charms off them. I like to push them myself." He didn't look up from what he was doing as he pushed them along the floor. "Dad uses books to make ramps for me to jump them off." A moment later he clamped his hand over his mouth and looked at Remus with wide eyes.

"Harry?"

Harry slowly removed his hand and gave him a sheepish look. "I wasn't supposed to tell you about the books on the floor. Dad said you might be..."

"Cross?" Remus asked with that twinkle back in his eyes. There was a solemn nod of Harry's head. "Oh, don't worry, I'm not cross at all." There was a flick of his wand and suddenly several books were on the floor in front of them. Remus took great care in setting up ramps for the cars to jump off of. Then just as suddenly, another flick of his wrist and several of Siri's motorbike magazines were there as well. "You'll find that the surface of the magazine's will make the cars go faster. Harry spotted the smirk on his uncle's face and dissolved into giggles. He loved when his uncle smirked like that. It meant his dad would be funny when he came home and saw what they were up too.

The rest of the morning was spent with cars rolling across books and magazines and the two of them saying, "Vroom vroom." Rainy days weren't all bad after all. It would be another couple of years before Harry was old enough to accompany his dad on those Black Friday shopping adventures, but he rather liked the Black Fridays we spent with his uncle too.
