Harry Potter would never ever sneak out of the infirmary with his dad to go to Diagon Alley. That would be wrong. So when the owl arrives with a note to Cedric along with the best Firebolt currently on the market it's obvious Harry must have sent someone else to pick it up and send it. Really.Cedric

Considering that he had a bit of time till his first lesson today, he just left his food, grabbed the broom and set off to the infirmary.
When he got there, he carefully let the still-wrapped-in-just-barely-opened-packing-paper thing by the door and rushed to Harry's bed.
"I'm... THANK YOU so very much! This is... incredibly generous... I'm..." ... out of breath, a little speechless, very excited, and with two bright red spots on his cheeks, but that was visible.

Cedric's arrival makes him laugh. He'd forgotten how Cedric's entire face lit up when he was excited. It's a reminder of how alive Cedric is again. That is nothing short of a miracle, and Harry finds himself feeling very grateful and humbled by this.
"I'm glad you like it. Make sure you properly take it out and test it. I heard a rumor you are heading back to the Hufflepuff team as seeker. You realize you'll be up against my sons then, yes?" He grins at him. Two Potters. Won't Cedric love that.

"Yeah, I talked with Anasta-... the Gryffindor captain. The first game will be something to see, I figure - Wood as captain and Potter as seeker vs. ... the same!
"But yeah, I have talked with our captain and will be joining practices shortly."
He finally calms enough to sit down, his eyes shining still.
"This... makes me feel like I'm really back. The flight, the team, the excitement... I mean, being back in school, the dorm, the teachers... but without the people I knew, it just isn't the same - but Quidditch? That just doesn't change, does it?"

"All of the teams look good this year. I've watched them practice. Having you as seeker for Hufflepuff is going to put Ravenclaw at a severe disadvantage. Their seeker is good, but not on par with you and my sons."
There is a definite note of pride as he talks about his sons. If there was one thing that Harry thrived at it was being a family man. His wife and children were his world as were his extended family.
"I still go up and fly when I need to feel at ease with things. No matter how crazy it gets down here," he paused to point up, "It all makes sense on the broom up there."
