I'm finally beginning to feel like I deserve to be here. I probably shouldn't get complacent about it, but I'm really enjoying the routine, the space, the light, the fact I finally pretty much have a regular desk. There's this great sense that I have reconnected to the life I've been missing for such a long while.

Also, have you read "Provincialising Europe" by Dipesh Chakrabarty? Its a postcolonial history rather than postcolonial literature book but its currently my absolute favourite book on postcolonial theory and has some interesting insights into modern v. subaltern subjects and the construction of narrative. May have nothing to do with what your working on but its definitely a great read.
I should bring my Gatsby Girl to Sydney, and then we can go to the Victoria Tea Rooms in our Gatsby Girls and have tea and scones! (Mental note: add Tea Rooms to the ever expanding list of 'places I must eat at while home') Love and hugs!
