The government issued their pre-budget report today... and if you read the bits the BBC didn't tell you about [and some of the bits they did], it really doesn't sound good.

Oh, and the scheme where they will take the money out of any bank account they consider "forgotten"? It`s going ahead.

Alright. So we've got a fucking huge deficit. Unsurprising. But that does not justify theft.

I myself have what I consider to be a long term savings account. High rate of interest, a not insubstantial sum of money- I don't plan to touch that in the foreseeable future, even years to come, not unless I'm in serious financial trouble. Does that count as forgotten? >:(

It`s been raised to 15 years, but even *premium bonds* are being included...
