my friend, who's a med student gave me that book.i finished it in one day and at the end, i was crying my eyes out. we had a long discussion after i finished the book, especially about the mom. i really couldn't call her evil coz she was acting on the instincts of protecting her child. if i were in her place, i seriously wouldn't know what to do...

You know what part it was that pissed me off about the mom? It was when Anna was born and when she came out, the first thing she was concerned about was the umbilical cord and the blood. Parang WTF? But yeah, it's a really difficult situation to be in.

yeah...that was sort of evil for me...pero i could see why anna wanted to sue her parents, i mean, she's never really had a life of her own, it's hard to grow up with your life revolving around a disease. side note, the whole time i was reading the book i was thinking what was the dog for? in the back of my mind, i kept on trying to guess why the lawyer had a dog with him the whole time. :-P

I felt sooo bad for Anna. I can totally feel it when she says that her only importance in the family was what she could give to Kate. That it's always been that.
='(
And yes, I thought that was a really funny thing Ms. Picoult did by inventing all sorts of reasons for the service dog. Favorite ko yung "I have a metal lung. He keeps me away from magnets." =)
