Thank you! I wish I could wear something like it, but it would look too silly I think. Babies are so lucky, they can look as silly as anything and people just smile at them!

Well, I have no idea how many sts I cast on, but it's plain stockinette (the roll brim makes it size-flexible!), and then when it comes to the crown decreases, I'm pretty sure I just did *k8, k2tog* repeatedly, forgetting about a round marker, until I came to 8 sts, then I think it was just k2tog until I had 1 left, then I pulled the yarn into the point and secured it. This is turning out pretty popular, and I still have the yarn... I may just have to re-knit it and actually write the pattern this time.

I have to leave for work now, but I'll think about it some more.

Thanks! Actually, it is made with 2 strands held together, and I just alternated which two colors and kind of "blended" down the spectrum.
