I've seen finished socks with the pooling. They looked pretty neat, I think. I have some Lorna's Laces that will become Jaywalker socks some day. :)

I'm getting farther into them, and the pooling is swirling around pretty nicely. It's kinda nice. I love the Jaywalker pattern... any 2-round repeat is good for my attention span!

I think the colors are beautiful! I just put my first sock on the DPNs, and I'm going to try for the fourth time to actually finish them.

Are you doing yours on two circs?

I'm actually using 1 circ, Addi #2, 32" in magic loop style. I highly recommend you try it out. I just converted a friend of mine from DPNs to magic loop this weekend! Once you get the hang of it, you'll love it. I can use DPNs, but as a tight knitter, shifting stitches around 4x a round is a big PITA.

You're doing a great job, and I LOVE your pedicure. That's my favorite color. LOL

But seriously, you're doing well, and I'm with you on the pooling. I've been meaning to try that colorway so I'll keep it in mind next time I make a purchase.

The pooling is starting to swirl around, and it actually looks kind of cool. I love this colorway more than I can possibly say!

Also, my toes thank you! :)

oooh, lovely colors. i was thinking of getting some of her shepherd worsted for a baby blanket (since it's superwash and all) and was wondering about the softness factor.

I'm pretty impressed with the softness of this yarn. I don't know how the change in weight and gauge would affect the feel of it, but the sock variety is quite comfortable against the skin.

Socks are brilliant projects both for portable knitting and for summer knitting (since they're something you can probably wear when they're done even in the summer and since you don't have something large and hot on your lap as you work). And that colorway seems to coordinate well with your pedicure!

Yeah, I can tell I'm going to get addicted to sock knitting! It seems like once I get the heel and toe construction down pat I'll be able to subsitute stitch patterns pretty easily, too.
