That was also strangely cool on my end of things. I was listening to the Pi soundtrack, Aphex Twin's track bucephalus bouncing ball, and the music on the site matched the song a bit too well....close to the same tempo, wow...this is kinda cool...and a bit messed.
Looks like I would expect it to look, which isn't bad. I have high expectations. A mix of Labyrinth and the Neverwhere TV adaptation(after Gaiman's book of the same title). Odd visuals and pupets... I'd see it.
Oh, and deech, you might be surprised to know that with all my Boingo Fan Craziness I'm not really a Danny soundtrack fan. The only soundtrack stuff I really dig is the stuff where Boingo comes through just a bit. Drives me crazy when I tell people I like Oingo Boingo, explain what that is, and then they say, "You like Danny! So you must LOVE Nightmare Before X-mas! I LUB JACK! OMFG! (drool etc)". Yeah kid, sure. Only the parts Danny sings, k. Never mind...ranting.
I enjoyed Nightmare quite a bit, but I don't get the total obsession with it. I have to say, however, that I'll enjoy a Tim + Danny movie a lot more on average then the other tripe hollywood throws out. :)
I've always liked Danny's pieces and his step to composition wasn't unexpected. Consider that part of what made Oingo Boingo what they were was the complexity of the pieces they produced. He produced music like his band was a small orchestra.
