Ihave been thinking a lot about this matter since the recent Lifetime fiasco, I had to wait till late last night to finally see the second episode and it still cut out on me mid way through arrgghhh .

I was thinking we should also all contact CBS.com to let them know about Blood Ties as they also air Moonlight.  I was thinking that Blood Ties would ( Read more... )

I've been thinking about this too.

I was listening to the 10th Wonder podcast (Heroes) and they mentioned how the networks (CBS maybe) initially cancelled "Jericho" and the fans went nuts and started mailing packages and packages of peanuts to the networks in protest. Apparently this was a reference to an episode. Bottom line, the network caved and ordered 8 more episodes to start airing in January.

So this got me thinking, could we do something similar to this? And what could we all send that would in some way reference Blood Ties and would be a good enough annoyance/prompt to get them to give us another season?

I was thinking that too but I think that one of the writers from Blood Ties said that it might be more helpful to write letters instead.

But if you come up with some sort of specular idea to send Lifetime a box of something to let them know that we the fans WANT another season of Blood Ties then I'm game to help you out somehow. What if we the fans started mailing packages of something in reference to an episode what would it be?

Well, I'm definitely writing letters.

Now I just have to go back and look at past episodes to see if I can find some sort of show tie-in that is cheap and can be easily mailed.

I'll let you know if I come up with anything.

A lot of us have sent of letters to USA network, SC-FI channel, FX channel, CityTV looking for their support in this matter. I can't see why another channel can't pick up the show?

Over in the UK we have Living who bought the show and are fully aware of the interest the show has got from its UK viewers and have taken on board our comments regarding keeping the show for further seasons if they would be made.

Some one out there in tv land must know the desperation that we as fans are facing regarding Lifetime's callous way they have treated the show, many have sent their views to Lifetime urging them to reconsider keeping the show and buying more seasons if they are made. Right now the producers and writers are sitting with no real clue as to where their future lies, and hoping overseas would generate more interest. I am hoping we in the UK will buy up more BT

which is why I am no longer doing anything with Lifetime they never even replyed to my letter. SO I am now pushing for other networks to pick it up.

it would be great for everyone including those people outside the US to send mail.

Gimmicks work somewhat (check out Dennis's (he is a writer for the show) blog about campaigns like this) but snail mail letter make the largest impact and it doesn't drive the mail room people nuts

keep writing guys
