Shit like this is why I write about my mental illness openly. To try and dispell some FUCKING IGNORANCE.

Of course, you can't expect much better than total and complete shit from the Daily Mail, or so Joe used to inform me, but still, seriously?

It's incredibly ignorant. I look at something like that and she just totally does not get it. Depression isn't a bunch of people whining about their lives & misfortune. You know, I look at my life and I think that I have lots of wonderful things going for me & I've been very fortunate, logically I can see this, but when I am at my worst in depression I can't. It's not an issue of whining about what I didn't get.

What the fuck is wrong with this woman? Depression is a "relatively new illness"? Did she honestly just tell me that since I pay a maid to clean my house I'm not really depressed?
