[Riku had found the merchants more on coincidence than through knowledge and while he has little use for the apothecary right now (he has a few potions from home on him after all), the weapons dealer certainly intrigues him.
Not that he has any desire to replace Way to the Dawn - how could he ever replace something that felt like it was part of himself - but if he was right and KERNOS had brought him here because of his Keyblade... then maybe it would be better to keep it hidden for the times being.
So he starts inspecting the swords, while waiting for the merchant himself - he isn't sure how/what to pay him with; he has some munny on himself, but he has yet to see anything like price tags...]
[ Price tags were just a formality. The Dealer watches Riku close as he examines his wares, and places a large, worn hand on the jar of escape tokens. A slight tip is enough to rattle and indicate that they're the main form of payment. But, with a moment of hesitation, he sweeps a hand invitingly at Riku himself-- make an offer. ]
[Riku frowns at the jar - so this is what those escape tokens look like, huh? - then shakes his head.]
Sorry, but I don't have any of those yet.
[Though that gesture makes him think furiously about what else he has on himself, he'd never even think about trading Way to the Dawn (it wouldn't be much of a trade anyway, considering that he would just summon it back a moment later) and he doesn't have any munny on him... but he does have a few potions.]
I have this though.
[He conjures a Hi-Potion out of his pocket and places it on the counter before the merchant.]
[ Oh... this was certainly interesting. A restorative, perhaps? He gestures to it and tilts his head in question, for an explanation. It was something more suited for the apothecary, but he could trade with his fellow merchant if need-be. ]
[ Oho, interesting indeed. He doesn't quite make off with it but he pulls it close enough to indicate he'll accept it for trade. He waits for Riku to present what he wants to see if it's a fair trade. ]
[Riku nods and starts looking through the swords again, until he eventually finds one that he considers suitable. It doesn't have any of the magical qualities like Way to the Dawn or even the Soul Eater, but despite being cold steel in his hand, the grip felt good.
He tightens his grip, then carefully brings the sword up for a test swing. He nods to himself after that - this would do the merchant, laying the sword down on the counter.]
[ Ah, that one. That'd cost him more than one hi-potion-- it took quite a bit to obtain that particular sword, if he hadn't made it himself. It was hard to keep track of anymore, really. He held up the potion, indicated two more, and held his hand out for payment. ]
[Riku frowns at him... two more potions; that would mean his entire supply. That did require some thought - there isn't really moogle store around the corner here after all.
Had he been put in this situation six months ago, he would have turn this deal down without a thought. But back then, he had barely been able to heal paper cuts, and while nowadays his cure spell was a bit... unorthodox (or admittedly not much of a proper cure spell at all) it worked well enough in the middle of combat. Besides, he did have still had a few other healing items besides his potion to fall back on.
After another moment he sighs and nods, reaching up and twisting his hand to conjure his other two Hi-Potions, then hands them over to the merchant. This better seal the deal though.]

It's a potion that mends wounds, restores health and cures physical exhaustion. It's about medium level in terms of strength.
