Sure, Lawrence heard the call to battle and action. There were certainly others who were more experience than he was so hey- sit back and watch for now, but still help out. That sounded like a good idea, didn't it? He'd already witnessed deaths in this land of make-believe, he didn't want his to be next right away. Not that it seemed to matter, this psychotic, lost island seemed to be built on the foundation of eternal damnation, reviving those who have lost their lives.
And so, Lawrence wandered around the support base. Bouncer in name, healer in spirit, he kept his thin, long sword slung over his back. Had to keep himself safe, had to keep his sword safe. Monsters were all around, of course.
Even those who didn't look like one. Like him. ]
[ In a low mumble ] Sure hope you're enjoying yourself, this just seems like your type of place, doesn't it? [ He speaks to no one in particular, so one may think. Or maybe someone heard him. who knows. He is just doing his normal dealio, smilin' ( ... )

Ah, no, not particularly! I was just unloading all of the supplies I brought. I apologize if I startled you. I'm Dr. Hadesu from the hospital-- I believe we share a room?

[ He smiles nervously ] I take it your job as a doctor keeps you away for most of the time, then? I can't say...
[ NO HE STOPS. TO. EXTEND A HAND OUT. Because honestly if this guy's the doctor on duty then well he's probably going to have to talk to him a lot more than he could have imagined. To think he's his roommate! ]
L-Lawrence! Wait, you knew that already. That is correct! That is who I am, I should say. Nice to meet you, Doctor Hadesu!

[ A few moments pass as he stares at Lawrence's hand, but instantly he beams and shakes hands with the blonde enthusiastically. Don't mind his dry skin and cool touch. ]
It's a pleasure to meet you as well, formally this time! I do hope you've been well since arriving here.

That is my sanctuary. Aha... but it's not so easy getting a lot of rest. I can't say I'm used to sleeping while clutching a weapon. You learn as you go, I suppose.
I've been just dandy! Well, far better off than most people. You kind of have to take these things in stride, lest they drive you mad.
[ he sighs ] I don't have the luxury of going mad.

I understand, albeit from a different standpoint. I don't know if it'd be any easier, but you'd be more than welcome to come stay in one of the offices at the hospital if you find trouble in the dorms. There are usually at least a few people around including myself, so there'd be no need to sleep with a weapon. But I'm glad to hear you've been doing fine otherwise.
