[The lack of light is going to be an issue. Erik can feel metal, though--ore running through the walls, faint tracks ahead--a door, a lock. It gives him enough spacial reasoning to get himself through, at least.
But everyone else? He isn't so sure. Banshee's scream should work well for sonic, but the mutant would have to be careful not to break their ear drums in the process.
Taking a few steps forward into the darkness, he waits for everyone to catch up.]
[ Nothing creepy about this at all, it's not like this place didn't have every other advantage, they had to take away their sight as well. Peter sighs quietly, walking a little further into the cave before he lifts a palm. ]
Give me a second. [ It's only another moment before his palm's filling with blue, crackling electricity, burning brighter than it is hot, lighting the walls of the cave and dragging the shadows out along the ground. ]
[Elektra smiles in Peter's direction as well. If they had to turn back because of some darkness she wouldn't have been pleased especially after that run in earlier.]
[Sean walks alongside everyone confidently, but when the small comment about Peter's powers pop up, Sean perks up quite visibly, despite what's around them.]
So, wait, does that mean he takes the powers from someone else completely? Or just uses part of it and is able to stow it away?
Wait, does that mean he has an unlimited amount of power?
[He's curious about the whole thing, but he's also becoming quite wary of their surroundings. The darkness wasn't what was bothering him, it was the feeling that something bad was going to happen that was.]
[ Peter's not even remotely bothered by Erik having given away his ability -- all things considered, it's one less person he needs to tell. Peter just kind of looks at it as blatant fact now, it almost seems weird having to retell anyone.
But he throws a look up at Mystique, a flicker of a smile appearing over his features. ] Yeah, I guess so.
[ Making sure to keep his hand held in a way as to actually light the direction they were headed towards, Peter looked back at Sean, unprepared to be suddenly fielding questions as he was getting equally as uncomfortable, feeling entirely too on edge. ] I don't take anyone's abilities, I just.. I can do what other people can.
[Erik shoots Sean a quick look, and his tone carries that 'there will be time for this later, shut up now'. They need to concentrate, and while he realizes that Sean has a habit of speaking when he's nervous, they need silence now.
So he gives the other mutant something to distract him--using his powers to listen for anything. Perhaps an end to the walkway.]
There's a lock somewhere down past here--I assume to a door. Metal tracks past that.
Like a mining shaft? [She asks, hurrying her pace. Were they supposed to travel somewhere? Mystique wasn't particularly sure if she liked that thought. There was a group of them now.
She peered through the darkness, just making something out the door.] It's not far. I can see it.
[Sean tenses a bit at the tone of voice Erik has, but even though Raven can see the door, he still quiets and listens carefully, tuning out his allies. It was easier when he was underwater and searching for the submarine using sonar, but -- wait, couldn't he do that here as well? He snaps his attention back to Erik when he speaks,]
Yeah, the door's up there, but -- something's weird. It's a little quiet. And -- it's open, right?
D'you think I could use my sonar to try and track anything down? Or ...would that be a bad idea?
[Considering it may help, but ... it also meant alerting things that they were there.]
[Eliot chose to remain silent during most of the conversation. Talking about powers was... strange and he had nothing to contribute anyway.
In terms of light, he carried a torch on his belt that he kept off, preferring to preserve battery and not wanting the bright LED lights to attract monsters. Same for the flashlight in his phone. Bad enough that every so often distant scrabbling noises came from beyond the dirt walls. The ambient blue light produced by Peter was enough.
Eyes adjusted to the dark, he saw the same thing Raven did.]
This is sturdy for a mine shaft... The tremors don't affect these tunnels much.
[As he spoke, some loose dirt shook down the rough walls as another tremor took the island. It was strangely claustrophobic down here.]
[ Peter fell equally as silent for a few moments, simply listening to the others and lighting the way for everyone, trying to make the electricity burn brighter without actually sending off a blast.
Glancing around as they went, the constant tremors weren't exactly making this any less nerve-wracking, and even though the electricity crackling away in his palm could be used offensively, he couldn't help feeling as if they were all blind to an imminent threat. ]
No idea. Assume it's a distraction. The what doesn't matter at the moment.
[Erik shakes his head slightly, pressing into the cave faster, taking point. The sensation of metal gives him more confidence, as does Raven and Sean's assertions that it's empty.
Finally seeing the door (and it's locked state), he gestures to the others to get closer.]
See if it needs something more than a key.
[He starts reaching out his senses, looking for the metal object. The others should feel the metal on their bodies rustle slightly as he feels his way through things.]
[Seeing the locked door reminded Eliot of Parker, and how he got dragged into this to begin with. Trapped in mine shafts, in the virtual darkness, while tremors shook the island every so often. When did he do such insane things?
And like last time, his earbud link with Hardison stopped working soon after going underground. He was relying on the public network for information, which, strangely, still worked.
Since he couldn't either pick complex locks or dispell magic -how quickly people adapt- he remained near where Erik stood.]
You can do something 'bout that door if it doesn't?
Just break it, Magneto. [She said looking from him to the door, being a little less subtle than Eliot. They needed to get past and she highly doubted that locked doors stopped Erik before.]
But everyone else? He isn't so sure. Banshee's scream should work well for sonic, but the mutant would have to be careful not to break their ear drums in the process.
Taking a few steps forward into the darkness, he waits for everyone to catch up.]
Anyone have any capabilities to deal with this?

Perfect. Thank you.

A hand goes to touch Mystique's arm gently, squeezing. A simple assurance that he's not going to allow anything to happen to her.]
He is. Has the ability to absorb and mimic powers.
[It's a short version of what he can do, of course, and he gives Peter a slight shrug, as if to say 'hope you don't mind'.
The humans in their group have proven their worth so far, and despite himself, Erik's feeling relatively comfortable in their presence.
And confident about this mission in general. Though there is a nagging part of him that thinks this is entirely too easy.]
Come on. We should keep moving.

Can you hear anything?
