DO YOU GUYS KNOW A GOOD RP COMMUNITY?

* preferably on LJ or on a website; not that I have anything against IJ or something alike, but I'd rather not create a hundred new accounts;
* preferably featuring existant characters, not original -- I'm too tired at the moment to try and be TOO creative >.>;

IDK if it would be something that interests you, but I head up pottertweets, which uses Twitter as the roleplay medium. It's super fast-paced and is based in real-time (and we took a vote and "Hogwarts time" is EST).

Here's our spreadsheet of characters, if you're interested in checking it out! It also has links to all of their twitters, and some notes. The community itself has summaries where you can talk about your characters, but all of the interaction is done on Twitter.

IDK IDK. I know it's not for a lot of people because HOLY DETAILS BATMAN, and it's hard to just tweet things, but it's fun and involved and everyone's characters are hilarious and varied and it's so cracky and AU by now.

I must admit that it's a brilliant idea and I will check it quite soon; that, I mean, in detail, as for now I have already glanced at the spreadsheet and it looks quite neat :)

I was wondering about character availability, however.

Any character not on that list would be available! A lot of people have chosen smaller roles/lesser-known characters, which allowed them to create the characters to be about anything they'd like.

If you'd prefer one of the characters that's already in play, you could PM me about it and I could let you know if that's someone that might be up for grabs (or could have you be a back-up in case the original player ever quit -- which we've had happen a few times, haha).

Off the top of my head, some characters that would be available would be most of the canon Hogwarts staff (with the exception of McGonagall, Snape, Trelawney), the Patil twins, Millicent Bulstrode, Crabbe, Goyle, most of the Death Eaters, Dean Thomas, Colin Creevey, Dennis Creevey, Angelina Johnson, Alicia Spinnet, Nigel Wolpert, Michael Corner, Marietta Edgecombe, Fleur Delacour (although Bill is currently dating Susan Bones, so she wouldn't be a Weasley), etc.

Hey, this list actually includes quite a few characters I used to focus my fic on, so I think I'd gladly take one or two of them on boat, just to see if I can keep it afloat.

Um, may I let you know as soon as I decide between Alicia, Angelina, Fleur or a Death Eater? *g*

Are you into mythology? I really love mythopoeics. Of course, it's on IJ, buuut it's still worth checking out if it sounds interesting to you. :)
