The Royal-Thatcher Family: Week One

Dec 19, 2014 15:05

As you've seen in the various Sunset Bay updates leading up to this final family, Trinity Royal has managed to romance various Sims in the neighborhood. Last update, she had a dalliance with the then-married Joel Perry, and while they were on a date, Trinity's baby mama, Delaina Taylor, caught them, and now they're mad at each other. Trinity doesn't just have feelings for the now unattainable Delaina, though - she also has the hots for her childhood friend and new housemate, Graham Thatcher.

This was made very obvious when ACR took over as soon as I started playing them...

Despite his feelings toward Trinity, Graham also has a crush on Delaina, who he had a bring thing with before she moved onto Jesse. Sorry, but I don't think an engagement with her is in the cards, buddy.

Not surprisingly, Britta Perry is not too happy that Trinity was one of the reasons that her marriage broke up, and she enjoys stopping by to steal their newspaper and such.

Trinity has much more important things to think about, though - like her sudden baby bump!
Graham: Big deal, she has to go up a pant size now. Tell me when the baby actually shows up.
Nice, Graham, great to see that you care so much.

Meanwhile, Trinity is trying her best to repair her relationship with Delaina. After all, she is the mother of Delaina's son, Leo Tayor, so now that she's going to have more children, it'd be nice if he or she could have a relationship with their half-brother.

I may have intervened slightly on their behalf (it's been a little while since I played this round, so I'm not sure), but they're now much happier with each other - but I'm a little icked out because this is the bench that Trinity christened with Joel, but whatever, I'm sure the rain cleaned it off...

Back at home, Graham has been trying to eek out a living by writing a book. Doesn't this sound like a totally enthralling book that you'd love to read?
Graham: I would!
It's your book - your opinion doesn't have a lot of weight here.

Hmm, obviously not everyone agrees with Graham - but hey, it's still money!

Trinity does her best to cheer him up, though, so don't feel too bad for him.

They then take it into the bedroom, where they're in the midst of a dream date - they have a lot of those, when it's just the two of them in their house. But it won't be just the two of them for long...

...because it's baby time!

It lies. IT LIES!

Look, a cute little boy named Tyson (I'm pretty sure - I wrote it down, but I might have mixed Tyson up with...)

...Daniel, who has S4 while Tyson has S3, so yay for some genetic variety already. But Trinity isn't done...

...there's also a girl! Luckily, it's just triplets, not quads, but still, that's a lot of kids. Skylar looks a lot like her mother, but she got her father's brown hair - they all did, actually, so that's a bit disappointing, but whatever.

Great example to set in front of your newborn children. Although, really, they should get used to this - Trinity and Graham are a high PDA couple, at least so far.

But they're just so darn cute together!

See?!

While they were busy being cute together, the triplets grew up! This is Daniel (I think), who looks just like his daddy so far.

Here is Skylar, who looks like her mom with brown hair.

And here is Tyson, who got his father's elf ears (at least, I think that's who they're from - it's hard to tell from these pictures and I don't have my game up - and I didn't bother checking if his siblings have them as well, so he might not be that special - sorry, kid!)

Ooh, the matchmaker must have known that, without any jobs or businesses, the Royal-Thatcher family is definitely struggling money-wise.

And things are about to get tighter with at least one more baby on the way!

So we'd better be quick and wish for some money!

And with that, we're done with the first round of Sunset Bay! Next I'll have a bit of a roundup post of Round One and then we'll start over with the Taylor household, which has Jesse Davis has a new addition!

Notes:
- I just realized that Trinity didn't see her son at all this round! Maybe I'll do what I'm planning on doing with Joel Perry and move Leo in with this family on the weekend or something so that they can have shared custody. If not, I'll just have to have Delaina invite Trinity over a few times during her round.
- I'm not sure where Trinity and Graham's relationship is going to go. Trinity is a Romance Sim and Graham is a Pleasure Sim, so neither are that interested in marriage and such. I'm trying my best to pay attention to the Sims' wants, so I'm not going to force them to get married, but we'll have to see if their relationship survives any wandering eyes on their part - I certainly hope it does!
- Since they aren't married, all three triplets are Royals, not Thatchers, so I might change some of the kids' last name later on so that the Thatcher name doesn't die out. Depending on how many kids Trinity has after this pregnancy and their gender, I might make all the boys Thatchers and girls Royals, but we'll have to wait and see. I'd really like to keep all of the current last names going, so I'm going to try to come up with some solution!
