The Dasani Legacy: 4.0

Jun 30, 2012 13:30

Last Time: I am a horrible updater when it comes to this legacy - the last update was nearly a year ago. I am so sorry! Anyway, if you forget what happened, which you probably do, it was college time for the latest generation. The two boys both found love while Melody didn't, but because the last heir had been a boy and I was kind of favoring Melody, I made her heir anyway. I'm sure more happened, so you can read it here.

I loved the Dasani house, since I made it and was proud of it, but it was big and only had two bathrooms and was hard to get around, so I decided that they would have a new house for the new generation. After all, that seems to be the tradition, but I don't want to leave this house because it took forever to make and I'm pretty proud of it. Anyway, on with a tour!

Here's the house from the outside. It's still big, but less spread out than the previous house.

Here's the second floor. The green room is the nursery, the yellow bedroom is Layla's, the empty room is for future kids, and the room with the pictures is the heir room, where heir graves will go, underneath their fancy photobooth pictures. Oh, and there's a bathroom. And instruments on the landing.

And here's the first floor - the back, yellow bedroom is for Melody and her future husband, the blue bedroom is Christy and Eli's (Melody's parents), and the black and white bedroom is Scot and Sophia's (Eli's parents, Melody's grandparents). There's a bathroom connected to Melody's room, a bathroom for everyone, the kitchen, and an open room for the dining room and family room. Then there's the graveyard outside, with Layla's husband, Drake, and a cheerful wedding area right next to it. Nothing's more appropriate for a wedding than a dead great-grandpart...

And here's your heir, Melody Dasani! Of course, this is before I changed her hair at least twice, so don't get used to this haircut.

I decided to send her out to try and find her a husband, even though I mostly just call Sims over (of course, normally they just find someone in college) instead of going looking for them.

And, after seeing this, and deciding I didn't quite trust her judgment (not that he's that bad, but, for one thing, he has the type of eyes I'm trying to get rid of), I promptly sent her back home.

Using the crystal ball, we got this guy, Moss, who's one of my Sims - he's the son of a Sim I made a while ago and play with sometimes. Anyway, I'm hoping to get a different hair color, since this family has had blonde and black hair every single generation.

I ignored everyone else until these two had a high enough relationship for him to move in. I'm not exactly patient, plus I hoped to have a least one kid for the grandparents to obsess over before they die.

Layla seems to approve of her great-granddaughter's choice in men...

Things continue to move quickly with a lovely engagement. (No, they aren't moving crazy-fast, it's just there's not much else happening in the house right now...) And, to continue with the fast courtship, it's wedding-next-to-a-graveyard time!

A lovely ceremony, even though most of the Dasani couldn't be there, since they're in the old neighborhood (I moved the family as well as built them a new house), and, for some reason, everyone seems to have a problem with Layla...

As soon as the ceremony itself was over, though, Melody had to run to the bathroom quickly. I guess the wedding didn't just happen quickly because I was bored (if you can't tell, I played this a while ago...)

Very good timing indeed...

Now that the wedding is over, it's back to normal life, which includes making the pregnant lady try to fix the computer. That probably wasn't a smart idea...

Luckily she didn't hurt herself and the computer was fixed without a hitch, and thus Moss was able to get a job as an artist, a career I've never tried out before and am very excited about...

Ooh, she was so close...

If you don't remember (which you probably don't, since it's been even longer since we were back at the main Dasani household), Scot has three bolts with Christy. That's more bolts than he has with his own wife, and same with Christy's bolts with her husband. So far, nothing's happened, but he's basically been stalking her since she married Eli...

You're not even a romance Sim, Sophia! You have grandchildren! Why are you even thinking about this?!

OK, here's a little context - this is a guy Layla brought home with her from work. Randomly, he just started doing this. I didn't do anything to him, I had basically been ignoring him, and he had only been there for a few hours, so I have no idea why he suddenly died in the middle of their landing!

And so, he died without any fanfare, other than Layla playing the guitar. And I didn't even know his name...

This is just creepy... One, that's Christy and Eli's bed that Scot and Sophia are in, and, two, I think that's Melody and Moss, aka their grandchildren. Sure, there's really a wall there, but it's still gross...

Well, at least Sophia's going to be happy...

That is a very crowded and full-of-hormones bathroom, and there isn't even a pregnant woman giving birth! Although there is a pregnant woman in there stuck watching the PDA of her parents and grandparents...

Aw, it's father-daughter dinner, over a dinner of burnt spaghetti. Still sweet.

I can't remember what her LTW job is, but it just will not show up, which is quite frustrating.

She's not doing what she think - after all, she's already pregnant.

Just taking her heir photo, which is now up next to her father, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She doesn't exactly look like she belongs in the family with her blonde hair, but oh well...

And here comes the first possible heir!

Meet Pip Dasani (don't ask me what I was thinking at the time - I don't really know, I think I had been thinking of Great Expectations or something). He didn't get his dad's hair color, but at least it's not black hair!

I think I took this to remind myself of the baby's name, so here's a reminder in case you forgot between this picture and the last...

Christy and Eli grew up without me even realizing. Sorry I didn't throw you a fabulous party, but at least you got sparkles!

So, here is Christy after her elder-makeover, lying on her daughter and husband's bed, next to her father-in-law. That's not inappropriate or anything.

At this point, I got so sick of every single adult refusing to leave poor Pip alone, so they all get to skill so that they leave the baby alone already.

That is not your wife! You know, the woman you love and have been married to for basically your entire existance other than college. Stay away from your daughter-in-law!

And we end this update with Pip's birthday and a shot of his adorableness. Sure, he looks just like a toddler version of Melody, but hopefully the next kid will look a bit different so that we have some diversity among the children. Anyway, until next time!

Hopefully next time won't be a whole year away - it shouldn't be, but there's never really any telling with my 'awesome updating abilities.' Anyway, I'm going to go update the Dasani family tree now, and perhaps play some more, although I don't know if I'll play this family or Woodhaven. Either way, the next update will probably be Woodhaven, and hopefully it'll be soon!
