Last Time: Generation three continued to grow as we added Don to the mix, who had the same genetics as his brother and isn't a girl, so sort of failed to bring a lot of excitement, but was still adorable. The dog had to be given away so that we'd have more room for at least one child, and I bought a business for Eli to work on his LTW which will probably be ignored for some time. You can read it
here.
After a month of writing and writing, I'm back with the next installment of the Dasanis! And with that arrival comes another new thing: the legacy home! I loved the one I used before, a
beatdoc16 creation, but it was started to get too crowded, plus I wanted something new, something I had made myself. So I made this huge house, making it slightly in the same style that some of
xie_belle's houses are made in. It's a lot bigger than I had thought it would be but I'm still happy with it - which is good, since I probably restarted it about five times, trying to get something big enough without being too basic and boring. Here's a little mini-tour:
Here's the first floor, full of bedrooms and most of the room, along with a little wedding area in the front, a playground, and a mediating area in the far back corner. And, if you look at the front of the house, by the nursery, you can see the very, very small graveyard with Drake's grave in it. Perhaps placing it by the room where the young children sleep isn't the best idea, but oh well!
And here's the second floor - it's pretty bare, just an entertainment room, complete with the crack-like piano. And then there's the closed off room with the heir pictures from the photobooth along with little tables for the urns once we have some (Layla still has a long time left - maybe I shouldn't have given her some of that Elixir of Life just because I had some left over).
And now, the tour is over and we're on with the update!
I decided to make a little garden area so that I could give the elders something to do. I've decided that they'll spend most of their days working away, rather than just sitting around. Aren't I a nice simgod?
Layla here is the lucky one who gets to start the garden.
Layla: Maybe I should just kick the bucket already - I doubt I'd have to bend over to plant a bunch of little seeds of food I don't even like.
Yeah, that might get you out of working, plus give us more room in the house for another kid or two, but in the meantime continue digging!
You two are grandparents, plus you're in front of everyone! You two should at least get a room far, far away from those of us who just ate.
And here we have the young couple who, rather than eating each others' faces, are merely eating. And such an unappetizing meal that looks to be. Must be something the butler made.
Aw, lil' Maxwell is putting the playground to good use. Glad to see that - it was difficult fitting it into the small space, I probably should have gotten a bigger lot. But there's not way I'm building a new house so soon, so I'm glad you like it, Maxxie!
Max: *ignores and merely continues to spin himself until he's so dizzy he hurls*
Let's check on little Don, shall we? He's been much more mild-mannered as he attempts to build up a little tower to equal the beauty of my own creation. Sorry, Don, but there's no way your dinky little tower could be any better than this house.
Oh no, we're going to be stuck with more elders!
Then again, we'll have more farmer for the little garden, so maybe that isn't such a bad thing.
Chance card time!
Hmm, I say go. Who cares if he loses - if they're such sore losers they shouldn't be playing.
Good to see that she doesn't work with a bunch of babies. Oh, and yay, secret location!
We're getting that much closer to her LTW! Thank god.
Drake! That's not a very nice thing to do - he's your grandson, not some random stranger!
Eli: *freaks out*
Drake: *stalks off to scare more people*
Oh, this'll be loads of fun.
Christy: *pops*
Sophia: Hmm, this is awkward. Oh well, I'll just continue on with my speech.
Hmm, that looks like a big bump - I wonder if I missed the first pop. Oh well, she's pregnant and that's all that matters!
Sophia, that's not your job! Let your mother tend to the garden until you get old yourself.
You two have to be the horniest grandparents around. Your grandson is right next to you!
Don: *bes ignorant*
Well, at least they got their own room. *rolls eyes*
Hey, wait a minute - that isn't your room! That's your son and his wife's room! You two are very sick parents.
After they finished defiling their poor son's bed, this guy showed up. Jesse Holmes and Sophia then struck up a nice conversation, something that Scot, as you can see, didn't approve of.
Scot: How could she be more interested in talking o that guy than being with me?
Sophia and Jesse: *ignore*
Scot: I'll just leave then - let's see if you have such a good time without me here!
Sophia and Jesse: *continue to ignore*
Um, I wouldn't sleep in that bed if I were you, Max.
Max: Why?
Um, ask your mommy and daddy.
Sophia: Ha ha, I don't care that Jesse is talking to my young, pretty daughter-in-law instead of me. Don't be silly!
Christy and Jesse: *ignore*
Yikes! I may need more gardeners but I'm not ready for them to get old yet!
And, oops, guess we've been neglecting Don a little...
Hey, that's not your bed!
Oh, I see, you're getting back at Sophia and Scot by being in their bed. Sneaky.
You are one nasty family.
Remember you two, you're already pregnant! Christy may have a very good control-top underwear thing that's keeping her from showing but she does have a baby bump. We're trying to see if we can last this generation without twins.
Great to see that you guys listen. If you have twins I may have two more graves for our little cemetary, remember that.
Ah, sweet revenge. He he he. *evil laugh*
Christy: *in too much pain to toss out a witty comeback other than screaming*
Layla: I had six children but I have no idea what to do! Maybe my memory is starting to go... I should probably go to the doctor's.
Yeah, maybe he'll diagnoise you with ADD.
Yes, no twins again! It's a Christmas miracle.
Blonde hair and grey eyes again, but is it a girl or a boy? Find out next time...
Yeah right, like I would make the ending suspenseful. No, just mundane endings for me!
And IT'S A GIRL! Sorry boys, but I think your thunder has been successfully stolen.
Christy: So, what do I do now?
*sigh*
Well, it looks like she found somethign to do. *eyes outfit critically* Remember, you already have three children - that's a good number for a generation.
Ooh, pretty lights!
Figures - she doesn't even have a job. *is bitter about lack of interesting gift*
Meanwhile, someone is aging.
Um, Sophia, since when do you have blonde hair? And what the heck are you wearing?! You're a grandmother, for god's sakes!
Sophia: Hmm, this is an interesting developement.
Indeed it is.
Hmm, has my game messed up because of that hideous outfit?
Scot: Oh no. I'm scared now.
I think I'd be scared, too, Scot.
Hours later...
Scot: Uh oh, what's happening to me?
Melody: Gwampa?
Scot: Oh, god, old age is coming for me! Save me, someone!
Um, I don't think Old Age is something that you can fight off, Scottie boy. Sorry to say that, but I think you're about the join the ranks of the gardeners.
Scot: Well, this is depressing.
Well, at least you already had blond hair before.
Wait, why are you going to work? I need to give you a makeover!
Scot: *ignores and begins to act senile*
Oh, this'll be fun.
And the birthdays just keep on coming.
This time it's Don joining the ranks of the homework-hating, playground-playing children, like his brother.
Well, that's interesting.
Sophia: Oh no, my grandson is a freak. What will I say to my kniting club?
Well, I forgot to get a picture of Don as a child, but you'll see him soon enough, never fear. In the meantime, we can see the adorable Melody.
Layla: Someone looks hungry!
Melody: Get that toxic waste-colored bottle away from my mouth and feed me something smothered in choclate and costing way more than it should! Or better yet - leave me alone! I haven't gotten a bit of sleep since being born because you freaky white-haired people keep manhandling me when I'm trying to sleep!
Oh, this'll be a fun child. *grins*
Melody: *chokes on bottle*
Layla: Good baby, enjoy that formula.
Melody: *thinks* I will come for you in your sleep. You'd be keep one eye open at all times, old lady. *thinks*
Layla: That's a good baby, keep drinking. Then I'll show you Great-Grandma's soap operas.
Lucky Melody.
Now you can see the childfied Don, having fun on the playground. I knew it was worth it to build it!
Come on, Don, you can do it! You can make it across!
Aw, better luck next time, lil' Donnie.
Isn't he adorable? Too bad you're aren't a girl - you and your brother never stood a chance.
In the front, meanwhile, Eli and his mother are playing an innocent game.
Of Punch You, Punch Me.
Sophia: Is that anyway to treat your elderly mother?
Eli: You deserved it - I now have a bruise on my arm the size of your fist.
Christy: I think I'll just stand here and pretend I'm not here at all.
Sophia: I will crush you, little boy.
I think I'll go check on someone else right now...
Look at this little gem that Max brought home with him from school. Isn't she completely adorable?! So bright and blue!
And it's birthday time yet again in the Dasani household!
This time it's little Melody's birthday! Can't wait to see if she lives up to the adorableness of her two brothers.
Let me see, let me see, let me see!
Ah, adorable! But that hairstyle and those eyebrows have got to go.
And I'm starting to get a little sick of that big nose - yes, it's adorable, but it's been around since Drake - we need a little diversity!
Success! Way to go, Sophia! We now have three perma-plat elders!
Well, isn't this interesting? Apparently when you become elders you stop being so horny and get as far away as possible from each other.
And look at that - Melody is with her BFF, Layla!
And here's Scot's spiffy new makeover, after I managed to get ahold of him.
Aw, they really are BFFs! Layla is teaching Melody a nursery rhyme (how appropriate, considering her name)!
SO CUTE. :D
Layla: That's it, you're doing wonderfully, Melody!
Layla: Maybe one day you'll be singing at the Grammys, where you've won a record amount of awards!
Melody: Hmm, I think I've changed my mind - you're my favorite in this house. I'm even starting to be fascinated with all of those melodramatics of those soap operas you love so much.
Ah, such a heartfelt moment. *heart melts*
One of the boys brought home another gem, only this time in a stunning yellow shade. Maybe next generation will bring a nice, colorful Sim to the genetic mix...
Melody: What nonsense is this? You're not my great-grandmother - you're some poor imitation of an elderly woman who seems to share some DNA with me. Fetch me Layla right now!
Scot: Were our boys this commanding?
No, but she's a girl so it's allowed.
Scot: Oh, okay. Carry on then. I think I'll go and find Layla.
And we'll end with Max joining the long line of piano-addicted Dasanis. Oh well, at least it brings wonderful music to the house.
And with that ends this update. Not sure when the next update will be, or what it'll be about, but hopefully it'll be soon! And I'm sorry for not doing anything for the one year anniversary of this journal - I was hoping to but it completely slipped my mind until a few days later. At least I have an update, and hopefully plenty more to come! It's been a great year, that's for sure, and hopefully there's also be many more years to come.
