It's not that hard. All you gotta do is say 'kweh'! Or...or maybe 'wark'! Can you do that for me, Nibel? Come one...

I've never heard one of my Pokémon say anything other than their names. Besides, a Doduo would make a better chocobo than this little one.

And people with whom you would like to visit them, I suppose?

I'm certain of it. No monster will be able to fight back against your fists. [Neither will Team Chaos!]

Of course. As soon as get back home, I'm writing to Cloud, inviting Zack, and we'll look for Aerith and Yuffie. It'll be great.

[And now she's grinning like the happy little fifteen year old she is.] Yeah!

That sounds like a good travel party. Did you meet some of them in Johto?

How long have you been training?

Yeah! I met Aerith and Yuffie here. But Zack apparently knows them both. And Yuffie says that we're all friends in the future!

About...two years now.

You'll have a few friendships to look forward to at home, then.

That's a very good start. Have you been practicing since you arrived in Johto?

Mmm, it's exciting. I didn't have any friends who were girls in Nibelheim and all the boys left for the city a couple of years ago, so I can't wait!

I have! Every chance I get! [She looks mighty proud of herself.]

Were there any adults with whom you could spend your time, at least? Distant cousins, previous teachers?

You could try practicing with Fighting-type Pokémon. They could teach you new attacks.

Yeah! I spent a lot of time with Papa and Master Zangan. [She grins]

Oh! I didn't think about that. I'll definitely try that out!

I suppose we adults cannot replace friends of a relatively close age, but it's good to know that you still had people to talk to.

I'd offer Firion as a training partner, but I fear he's not quite strong enough yet. [And indeed, the Riolu that peered at the screen upon hearing his name is rather young and small.]

And you know you can look forward to all your future friends.

[Firion waves back shyly.] He's quite sweet, too. He does not train much, but I can tell he has a lot of potential.

When the time comes, he'll be able to match you punch for punch. He'll become the strongest Fighting-type in all of Johto! [Cecil, your 'bragging parent' side is showing.]

Of course. You'd enjoy that, would you not, Firion? [Apparently Firion would, because he's nodding determinedly.]
