I don't think their necessarily "evil" souls. Pergatory is a place where the not so bad and not so good go for a waiting period to, I guess, cleanse their souls before they can go to heaven. Thats what I took pergatory to be, but maybe others see it differently. Supernatural sure has a lot of monsters there though so I'm a little confused on why they'd be there or how evil they are if they don't go to hell instead?

I wouldn't know about Purgatory outside of SPN, but they sure make it seem like it's just crawling with evil. I don't know, it's kinda confusing, and it's just a random thought that occurred to me last night when I just couldn't stop worrying.
