Mass Effect - a review

Secondly, I’ll say this: Mass Effect may well be the single greatest PC game I've ever played. This is coming from someone who adores the Half-Life series, Crysis, System Shock 2, Oblivion, and many other story-driven action games. Why do I feel so strongly? It would be tricky to implement, unless you are talking about one player to advance the story and two others to just jump in as squadmates on a mission. But under that circumstance, yeah; it would be cool to have a couple of buddies be Urdnot Wrex and Liara T'Soni in combat. Though I must say, and should have mentioned in the review, that squad AI in this game is actually quite good. Wrex, in particular, handled himself really well in combat with terrific biotic/weapon combos; he was fun to watch tossing Geth troopers around.
