I have several lovely pint jars of sweet pickles (cucumbers, sugar, vinegar, canning salt, celery seed, mustard seed, turmeric for color). I mean, *several*, as my brine recipe turned out to make two full batches plus a bit, instead of a single batch of a few half-pint jars. They're extremely finely sliced. You can read print through them. Need sweet relish? Just whirl 'em in a food processor or chop as finely as you like on a cutting board.
They were made in late August, early September so they're ready to eat now - as a matter of fact, I opened a jar yesterday to have with my lunch and I can tell you that the batch is *tasty*.
I'm putting up four pint jars of homemade Southern-style sweet pickles in this auction. I am beginning bidding at $5 per jar and will include appropriate shipping via UPS, tracking notice delivered via PP. If you'd like a decorative cloth cover for gift-giving, let me know after the auction is won and I'll arrange for that.
I will begin four threads, one for each jar. Please place bids one after the other in each thread so that they're easier to track. Bidding ends 10/31.
