Conundrums and Commitments

Countdown to delivery of HBP by Amazon . . . 4 days.

Expected reading time . . . who knows?

Unless it pours with rain on the 16th, I've made a date with my brother to spend the day at the Vancouver Folk Festival. I have visions of people wandering from stage to stage at the Folk Fest with their noses buried in HBP! I like to think I won't do ( Read more... )

Hope all turns out well for your family. Ouch.

Someday I will have time for fic again, at which time I very much look forward to reading the second half of SIHNT. At this point I probably need to return to the first chapter.

Thanks, gthistle. In the long run, we know everything will work out. And at least these issues have come up before the wedding . . . it would have been far worse afterwards, legally speaking.

Yea!!! Half-Blood Prince!!!

I've told my mum, who's b-day is on the 17th, that I may be a tad pre-occupied...but shall be there to celebrate, after which I'm going back to my book to take rabid notes.

It's a tad depressing to know your story is going AU (though I think there will be many that will still be safe and sound), but ah well! C'est la vie! I'm finishing mine anyways.

Must be nice to know that your story is coming to a close. A relief really. Our Holmes one is closing in 3 chapters and an epilogue...and *cough* there may be more...Shhh...don't tell!

Enjoy your book, and good luck with your story (and folk festival)!

Well, I still live in hope that it's not going to be AU . . . but at this point, who knows? Either way, you're right. The point is to keep on writing because, damn it, it's fun!

And looking forward, as always, to more of your Holmes' adventures.

Yay! More SWIHNT! (Did I get all those letters? ;-D)

Hope you have fun at the Folk Festival - sounds fun! - and enjoy HBP whenever you get a chance to read it!

I think I'll get the husband to do all of that sorting instead, while I curl up somewhere quiet and out of the way and read. Have I mentioned I'm not a nice unselfish wife?

Ah, nice unselfish wives are a myth; they live with men who clean out their wives' closets! ;-D

And I'm sorry about the family stuff. Hope it all works out.

Traditionally, the Folk Festival weekend is when summer begins on the West Coast--and true to form, Vancouver is in for a spate of warm, dry weather for the next few days. The combination of a great line-up and hot sunshine is irresistable!

Are there men who clean out their wives' closets??? Where? Which galaxy?

I wish you great time :) With your husband and new HP. I am not going to start reading book six until I re-read book five... And I intend to begin book five after buyinh book six :) I'm making promises and intend to keep them :)

Do you mind if I friend you? And did I forget to thank you for answering my question concerning King or Queen for a Day challenge? I intend to write my story, some day. I simply didn't have the time to do so before the deadlie.

Greetings from Poland, of course.

Novinha, I'd be delighted for you to friend me! I'd like to do the same, if it's okay.

My husband has been given notice about his upcoming "closet & space-clearing" project this weekend! In return, I think it would be kind to ply him with fine cheeses and good wine, both of which he loves. He doesn't feel resentful that he won't be able to read Book 6 this weekend, since he hasn't even finished Book 5 yet! Imagine that.

Curz it's OK.

Not finished book five? Now that's unheard of! On the other hand, my sister claimed she wouldn't read book six, since Sirius died and she liked him so much.

I'll lure her :)

I have a short queue to my book. My two best friends will borrow it right after I'm through with it.
