The Anniversary "Garden"

I'm very happy to report that last night's surprise went off extremely well :)

Although Chantale got home at the expected time, she darted upstairs to see me (while I was hiding with a camera hoping to catch her reaction :) ).

So, after a while, we went down together and she took a good look at the "garden" I had set for her :)

Sappy? Corny? Dude, I am sitting here in AWE that a male was willing and able to pull something so awesome together. This is the kind of thing chicks wish their husbands and boyfriends would do. Just the fact that you clearly spent a lot of time reflecting on your history with her and what symbols would best represent it is impressive on its own. GOOD JOB! :)

Although I almost wondered how to take that "male" comment! :) LOL! Almost had me exploding into some caveman grunts ;)

My wife thinks I overdo it sometimes (and I know I do) but I assured her there would be nothing extravagant until perhaps our 10th ;)

Did you ever read "The Wedding"? It's the follow-up book to "The Notebook". I never want to be that guy who ends up realizing that his wife is "apart" from him because he never shared his feelings and put his work above his family.
