This post will stay at the top, so consider it the open forum as well. A good place for random communications that aren't related to an entry, or to say howdy-hey to me if you're one of the readers of this site that don't know me from non-'net life. Enjoy!

Hello. I read some of your comments on bisexual and recognized you from curvygirls, and glancing at your journal I really like/ respect what you write. Would it be all right if I added you? :)

we were talking about trans. ppl.. and I am ashamed to admit it, but I think they are mentally ill, weirdo's and totally creep me out and make me uncomfortable. I am ashamed though. I Know as a bi-sexual I should be open minded and accepting of people however they are. I just get scared.. I have to wax this guy constantly who is turning female soon, he is reaching out and wants my help.. I just don't know what to say to him. He freaks me out and is very hard for me to talk to him.. Maybe he is different, I think he is mentally ill. Maybe all tranny's aren't I havent met too many of them.
I just dont understand?? it weird.

Well, I understand why you feel ashamed of that---you sound like you are probably generally an accepting person, but have some ideas about transgendered people that put you off.

What about being transgendered strikes you as being mentally ill? I mean, do you feel someone is mentally ill if they want the same sex or both sexes? That's not rhetorical, I'm really asking.

well I think it is a mental illness, I think it's called Gender Identity Disorder. It's just odd to me. I think it's maybe that I can't relate.. I don't want a penis, I was born in the correct body. I like both sexes..and it feels right to me. I don't think sexuality is a mental illness.. I just think not feeling right in there is.. If you are attracted to someone you are attracted to them, you shouldnt have to feel like changing your sex.. and like I said I'm ashamed of it. I judge them, I think horrible things about them and I dont feel comfortable around them.. couldnt really tell you why though.

Mind if I add you to my friends list? I'm new to F'burg and looking for people with a little local flavor to them

I'm not sure if I have local flavor, but I sure do blather a lot in my journal. So yes, add away! And welcome to the neighborhood, of course ;-)
