oh, i love Am-Staffs! she looks like a sweetie, too. just make sure you check with your landlord, as a lot of people are opposed to them due to their reputation. i've never met a pit i didn't like!
We saw that flyer, too!panoramicgreenJanuary 6 2008, 20:13:29 UTC
OH,yes, we saw that flyer, and read the whole thing, and I felt so warm for the couple who took her in and were trying to find her a good home. Oh, how I love people sometimes. Will you knit her a hat! With a tassle!
I was having a panic-attack meltdown in a Lincoln Square Starbucks yesterday, and the only thing that made me feel good was watching the doggy-sweeties walking by. I swear I felt like I could stop crying if I could have petted one.
I have a pit, and she is the sweetest girl in the WORLD! They do need a LOT of exersize and attention. They're also prone to health problems (Skylar is allergic to everything!) It's so wonderful that you're trying to adopt her. Just be careful with neighboors and people on the street. Unfortunitly the second some people find out that the dog is a PB, they freak out. They have a terrible rap, but they're definitly one of the few breds that would die to protect their families :) Also *be aware that pitts are mouthy. Example - Skylar would NEVER bite anyone, but the way they show you that you're "in their pack" they nibble. Some people might mistake this for biting.
I hope you get her, I'll keep my fingers crossed!!!
oh, awesome! we should have a play date or something :-)
i had a guy in the elevator the other day try to convince me that pit bulls were illegal in NYC... i think there was a ban proposed, but it didn't actually go through? i think?
