On Job

I really liked this piece. I think what comes out of it most for myself is that often times I speak from a place of anger and betrayal without first thinking of the broader environment. On second reflection upon those words, one doesn't wish to take them back, for the meaning is true, however one can often wish that they had the chance to better state their ideas without the cloud of passion confusing their true meaning. I also enjoyed your references to humans not being the center of God's world, simply one part of a whole. As you said while many may feel sorrow, it is hard to compare the struggles of a white male(me) to the problems plaguing other humans within the same environment. I think that this is an important concept that could even be related to some of our conversations about development and gentrification, although not a solution to the problem of being one of those hip people that inspires others to develop our living space away from what made it cool for us in the first place ( ... )
