Here's my living room. Its a very cozy place to be. Its not as cool as my dining room but I still like it.

i really like the idea of the staircase but it seems like the shelf and frames together make it feel a little bunched up. they're both good places for them but there needs to be something... sort of separating them? i dunno, maybe you can detail the rail of the staircase (not the entire wall, but the part your hands actually touch) in the same turqouise-ish paint the rest of the room is in.

re: fish tank, if you are interested in keeping fish, it's a bit complicated, both with the temperature & chemical balances you need to keep and the speed at which you add plants & fish and the choosing of the fish so that you get species that can live together. you might also join aquaria. Otherwise perhaps you can make a terrarium out of it? Terrariums are also very pretty and interesting.

Very nice. Great color. I enjoy it all. I love the pillows and that book shelf going up the stairs is fabulous. Was that there when you bought the house? I love the fishtank. You should skip the fish and just put some fabulous vintage aquarium decorations in there.

The fish tank was there when we bought it. Its one of the reasons we liked the house. Its a little high though. Where do you get vintage aquarium decorations? Never seen any. I'm not that good with fish. I want to just put water plants in there. Much easier. But my husband wants fish. And fish eat the plants. :(

I love the wall color! Also the silver picture frames, they seem very Tim Burton to me for some reason.

Nice job!

Thank you. I plan on using the same color in my next house also. I love it so much. Blue is supposed to be a "cool" color but this color makes me feel warm and happy. They seem kinda sad and scary to me also. Especially when they are crooked.
