I am undecided as to whether I covet your cats, your iceboxes, or your cosy (earthquake-safe, lol) closet-bedroom the most. But there's coveting going on, oh yes.

Lovely job with the reupholstering/reseating of the chairs.

Ha! I'm flattered that I could create a closet bedroom that could rival the cats for covet-factor. They're clearly the most lovely things in the apartment.

Reupholstering the chairs was the only DIY ever that turned out way easier than expected. I highly recommend it.

I thought I was the only person who liked the idea of sleeping in a closet, and that the first huge closeted place I live in will be my bedroom so that the actual bedroom can be of use. Kudos! And your kitties, sitting on your shoulder during the painting, so cute.

Great post. I especially love that your home incorporates things that make you smile/laugh.

Thabks! We got the armchair probably a year before the couch. I'd been looking for a couch with wood trim, but not necessarily any color. We found that one at the value village and were like "Okay, I guess we're those people with pink furniture now!"

Are those your cats in your icon? Cats who love each other is probably my favorite thing ever.

Thank you! We probably do. I fully realize that phrenology is a totally crackpot, institutionally racist pseudoscience, but they're so pretty to look at and so funny for thinking about all the things people used to believe. And so good for storing hats.
