yeah, the ones over the stove are the "high-volume replace every month at the latest" spices. we cook for between 7-15 every night so there are certain spices that don't even last a week but they get used a ton so they go there for ease. the rest of the spices are in that box below the coffee jar or in the cupboard. stuff like cumin tho, i buy every two weeks. i would get the big size jars of those ones too, but we ran out of room for more than a few essentials in that size.
Looks like happiness. Can I ask how you clean everything? I have found myself making my kitchen more and more austere because it's so hard to clean everything.
i am a "move everything to one side, hose down, move everything to the other, repeat" type of cleaner. it's kind of a pain, but most of those areas just need dusting once a week because they aren't food prep. i still probably spend an hour a day in there cleaning overall tho between dishes, wiping down all food prep surfaces several times, sweeping, etc.
