Happy with your thrift find, proud of a paint job, want to show off pictures of your new saucy sofa? Inspired by something you saw or just want to leave a show-me-your... request?
Please show me your saucy Ikea Hemnes beds! I conceded to my husband, who really wanted one, but I hate the little spindles at the top and have been looking high and low for ways to cover them up!
I was trying to remember which Ikea line that was, and there are several on Flickr that I'd consider part of pretty saucy decor. Try searching for Ikea Hemnes. Most of them have left the bed in its original state, though. I personally don't find the spindles offensive, but I imagine you could upholster a piece of plywood or mdf and use that to cover them.
My husband and I found a chair/table set by our dumpster about 1 & 1/2 years ago. We were in desperate need for a table bigger than our original table, so we snatched it up. About two weeks ago we moved, and since we're going for the "grown-up" look instead of the "dorm look" my mom helped me re-upholster them.
I know there are a few examples in the community, but can I see some saucy dorms? I find I write easier if I have something to visualize and my current MC is in his freshman year of college.

I'm moving into a new-to-me classroom where I will be teaching 11th and 12th grade ELA. I can paint and pretty much do anything I want, but I want to keep things neutral. (I once had a classroom with a wall painted yellow - they accidentally used the yellow paint meant for highway lines!)
I'm in my classroom more during the week than I'm at home and really want to make this year more comfortable than the last 6!

My ex's mom taught third grade and had been in the same classroom for a decade. It was amazing. LOTS of stuff hanging from the ceiling like planets and animal skeleton models and globes and plants. It was so cool.
