Summer Bedroom

I decided this year that I'd like to have summer bedding that was lighter both in weight and looks. That, and I'm an Etsy addict. Admitting is the first step, right?

nice new bedding. i love that little yellow stool...have you considered painting the bedroom set? the bed would look cool painted, although the bed might look good if you just painted the dresser and side table. maybe played around with the hardware. just since you aren't crazy about the set...

I honestly don't dislike it. I just know it's not especially saucy, so I offer the disclaimer. :-) Besides, I'm pretty sure my parents/the former owners would prefer that I drown kittens to having me paint over stained wood. While I sometimes like painted furniture, I can't really say I disagree with them there--it kills me that all my gorgeous Craftsman woodwork has been painted over so many times. The furniture's so heavy in scale that I think it would look odd, anyway.

I really like the photo where you can see the new duvet, rug and pillows together. I think they work nicely. Also, I want to see a picture of you wearing the same patterned shirt and headband whilst sitting on the duvet.

Please take this as a compliment: The spring design has a very retro housewife / grandma feel, but in a wonderful fresh way.

I really liked the improvements and I think you should keep the furniture as they are. Just a suggestion: maybe you can recover the ottoman with a new fabric? I'd do it with a pale pink or blue fabric.
