...Our little apartment in Portland, Maine.

Hello and Happy New Year!! I have been a long time follower of this community... I posted about six months ago when my boyfriend and I moved into our new apartment (my old post can be seen here). It is a tiny 1 bedroom, very compartmentalized with small rooms all sectioned off from each other, but we call it home for now. It has been a challenge to fit all of our belongings into such a small space without it being too cluttered, yet we want it to feel lived in. We recently did an overhaul of our living room, as I needed a more functional work space (I have a quilting business); thus turning one room into two (yes, making it even smaller! I know!)... Since it is generally just one of us home at a time, and we do very little entertaining here, we went more for functionality over foot space. I am also in the process of re-upholstering our sofa, which is a fold-out given to me by my grandmother and probably about fifty years old at this point.

Thanks for looking and I'm always open to constructive criticism and ideas!! xo

all of the artwork on the big wall has been done by friends (portraits of me) or family, or purchased on etsy.

baby and wedding pictures of my grandparents..

My sewing area really needs to be organized and I have so many pieces of art to put on that wall.. but I figured i would show it in the "as is" stage, to give you an idea of the size/shape of the room overall.

Our bedroom is still in the process of being made saucy, so I will just give you an idea of what I'm working with..

Our bathroom is finally complete, for the most part. It is so tiny, as you can probably tell.

And our kitchen is also not complete, but here are the parts that I can show you (the rest is seriously a work in progress :))...
